ABOUT
HungJin completed his MFA with RMIT, Australia, and Hong Kong Art School in 2016. He investigates the implications of everyday moments through candid photographic 'snapshots.' His ongoing project, In search of my daily bread, started in 2014.
To explore through the use of photographic investigation using images garnered from daily life as well as constructed and staged visual images, how traditional Christian values are manifested within the context of contemporary culture and everyday experiences.
By utilizing well-defined Christian iconography within re-contextualized situations, the artworks attempt to explore the proposition that fundamental and universal values of love, family, and an inner search for spiritual values are necessary for the human condition to prosper in today’s materialistic world.
HungJin’s artworks are intending to investigate the relationship between daily life and Christianity through photography. This is to continue the dissertation "In search of my daily bread" from my art master course. Look forwards to witness GOD's grace on turbulent era.
